    TTFN!

Sunday, August 10, 2008, 09:21 AM EST [General]

This will be my last time on CS until late Friday or maybe even Saturday.  We are getting ready to go to the river today.  I found out last night that an old friend will be there until around 5:00 today, so we are hustling along to get ready and go.

Last night was Son's home birthday party.  He had 2 great grandmas there, 2 grandmas and 2 grandpas.  How lucky is that!  It was quite surprising that Mike's parents came.  We always invite them to things but this is the first one that they came to since Daughter's 2nd birthday.  She is 9 ½ now.  Everyone played nice and got along well.  It was a nice and easy party.  Son made out like a bandit too.  By the time his birthday rolls around on Monday he may have the money he needs so he can buy Rock Band for Wii.

I wanted to give all you wonderful people an update on my shoulder before I go.  I am still getting pain.  It comes on stronger when I get any stress or anxiety.  I am finding if I stop, sit on the ground and lay my hands flat on it, it goes down into the ground where Mother can deal with that particular energy for me.  I plan to continue to work with this while I am gone and hopefully have it reduced pretty well by the time I get home.  Thank you all for your suggestions, and energies they have helped so much!

I love going to my happy place, but the price is not getting to hang with all of you.  I will miss you and look forward to coming back and catching up with you all.

    Ten things...

Friday, August 1, 2008, 02:56 PM EST [General]

A while back here on CovenSpace there was a post going around that urged us to write ten things we like about our bodies.  Several months later, I still haven't came up with 10 things I love about just my body, but I can come up with ten things I like about me.  So here goes...

    1. I like my height.  I am 5'10" tall.  I was always encouraged to not hunch over and to stand tall.  Finally I can do that.
    2. I like my feet.  Being as tall as I am, I have long feet but they are bony and unique.  I like my firm foundation.
    3. I like my eyes.  They are green and have the same gold flecks as my Granny's eyes.  We even have the same dark spot in the same eye.  This reminds me of my connection with her Grandmother.  She was a fiery little woman with the same eyes.
    4. I really like my skin tone!  I tan easily and enjoy being in the sun.
    5. I like my hands.  They are long and thin.  My nails are shaped well enough to grow strong and wear my wild nail polish well.
    6. I like that the fashion industry doesn't dictate what I wear.  I wear what I like that looks nice on my body.  It doesn't have to be "in style" it is my unique style.
    7. I like the little bump on my nose that my glasses rest on.  It is a trait from my mother's family and it is cute and not something most people have.
    8. I like my talent for picking colors.  I can pick colors for moods, fabric, and rooms.  When you look at little bits of the colors, they may look completely random.  But then when you put them into a room, they look like they always should have been together.
    9. I like my strength.  It isn't as strong physically since my shoulder was injured last year, but my inner strength is there.
    10. I love my family and friends.  They may not be a physical part of me, but they are all extensions of me in some way.  I love you all!  Thank you for being the better parts of me.

Now I challenge you all to come up with ten things you like about you.  It can all be physical, emotional, or a combination of both.  Love starts within, so lets start spreading the love!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really tried to add the Beatles Love is All You Need video, but it just wouldn't let me.  So now that it is in your head, hum along.

Today I drew the blank Rune...

Monday, July 28, 2008, 08:45 AM EST [General]

It fits perfectly!!!  I have been trying to live the lesson of going with the flow.  I have decided to bring more of Mia into my life.  I have even been trying to open up and let other emotions besides anger in and show.  For example, last night I picked a movie that I thought could only make me cry.  It did.  Honestly, not all the tears were for the movie, but for some other losses in my life.  By the way, the movie was called P.S., I Love You.  It had a yummy Irish man in it too!  But I opened up.  I talked to Mike about the emotional changes I am trying to make.  It was an incredible night.

On to the rune...the last paragraph said:

Whenever this Rune appears in your spread, take heart: it is the source from which flows the energy for self-change.  Know that the work of self-transformation is progressing in your life.

Wow!  What a great way to start off this day and this week!!!!!

    Thank you!

So far, the jewelry box has yet to show up.  I have asked the house.  I have asked the fae.  I have asked my guardians to please bring it back to me.  I know it will show up, and I have a pretty good idea why it isn't here now.  I think by the time I get back from my trip, it will be back.  Thank you all for your help!

So this time tomorrow, I will be on a jet plane.  I am so excited and nervous all wrapped up.  I haven't got my bag packed yet.  My grandma will be here this afternoon.  She is coming to help out with the kids.  I do have to say that it is a bit of an ego boost to know that it will take 3 adults to take care of the kids like I do.  I even cancelled the kids' appointments for the time I am gone.

Mike did something fantastic for me this past weekend.  I have had 55 gallon drums sitting around my yard for at least 3 months now.  They have been waiting to be turned into rain collection barrels for garden watering.  He found the plumbing needed in my Grandpa's old things and built them and installed them Sunday.  Up until this point we have had rain every other day at least this summer.  Now the forecast is sunny for the rest of the week.

I finally found the complementary material for my grey and red dragon skirt this weekend.  I made it on Sunday and hemmed it on Monday.  I think I have a few adjustments to make but otherwise it is ready to go!

This will probably be my last blog till next week, but when I get back I should have some great stories to share.
